Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix

The lads went in with good spirits and the belief they could win the Lincoln GP. A hectic start saw Jamie position well to get in the first move of the day over the first couple of laps.

Will was next to attack with a long range move, following John Archibald with 6 laps to go. The pair extended their lead to 50 seconds causing panic in the bunch behind, with no team committing to an organised chase. Unfortunately stomach issues for Will ended his escapade with 3 laps to go.

George was next to attack, taking a gap over Michaelgate with 2 to go. He was joined by Adam Lewis. 8 km later Alex Richardson, Matt King and David Hird came across to them, going well clear from what was left off the bunch.

The leading move split in two on the penultimate ascent of Michaelgate, with George caught behind. However, Matt Holmes bridging across gave the group the power and cohesion needed to close down the front of the race; the 6 riders joined up with 6 km to go.

George attacked with just over a kilometre to go, but ran out of legs on Michaelgate. Holding on for 4th, content with rolling the dice for the win.
