About us
In 2010 Spirit Racing Team was born. A sustainable, well-resourced academy committed to supporting talented riders by providing training and mentoring on a continental platform.
Over the years we’ve combined our wealth of resources and collective knowledge from our pool of experienced experts and have solidified ourselves as one of the strongest elite development teams in the UK and Europe.
Since 2020 we have been registered as a British Cycling Elite Development Team and the projects key focus remains the same – Developing riders in the sport of elite cycling, whilst providing the platform to compete in the UK's biggest races and the prestigious UCI European calendar. With our impressive race calendar, we equip riders thanks to our amazing sponsors to race at all levels, giving them the platform to be scouted for professional teams.
At the heart of our ethos is a strong work ethic, with the emphasis on team bonding, fun and development throughout the season. We win and will continue to exceed our expectations whilst growing as a formidable team with a model that ensures our future year on year.
Our history
2010
Spirit Racing Team was born.
2014
TBW23 began supporting U23 riders providing training, mentoring and support, racing across Europe, Asia and Africa.
2017
Embark-Bikestrong Race team was founded, by a group of coached riders into a team competing in the UK National Series.
2022
The academy race team transitioned to Spirit BSS.
2023
The teams combined resource, knowledge, experience and ambition. Our (combined) third year as a British Cycling Elite Development Team.
2024
We are well set to continue this upward trend in 2024 and we hope you enjoy supporting us along the road.
