48th Grand Prix de la ville de Pérenchies

Wow, what a weekend and thanks for making it so special!

Our best result from this prestigious race in 2023 was 25th – This year our best result was 14th from our very own Logan Maclean.

Highlights for me

Logan - rolled the dice, part of a move of circa 16 (two groups which come together) which finished 1:23 behind the break (at one point was less than 50 seconds).

George - part of a group of 3 which rolled the dice (plus had some live stream time) to bridge to the break - one rider was DQd which upset the momentum.

Luke - compliments from your team mates on your riding, you looked very strong during the race, pulled some turns and positioned well!

Alex - compliments from your team mates on your riding - some strong turns, well positioned. Unfortunate punctures and mechanicals hampered your ride (a little bit of bad luck with cobbles), great riding to get back in!

Johnny - an impressive 1st foreign race, an impressive recovery post puncture to get back in so quickly. Great use of the cars, once back returning to join the team at the front, turning some heads in the process!

Thanks to Jason and Nick for coordinating an impressive decamp of your race bike mid race from the car, repairing the puncture and having it back on the roof the following lap!

Overall take aways

  • We rolled the dice and rode the race to win! A massive tick for us and great to see us take the race on!

  • Great team riding at the front earning the respect from the bigger conti teams - riding as a group at the front. I’m sure you will agree it’s so much easier when you are up there!

  • Some great positioning at the front hitting the cobbles

  • Great use of the car by those when needed for bottles, gels, a tow, a sticky biddon!

Great to see morale so high and it’s great to see you all getting on so well!
